Chelsea Pride and 10 Years.

Ten Years of Chelsea Pride

Ten years of community.
Ten years of visibility.
Ten years of standing together.
Ten years of challenging discrimination.
Ten years of proving that LGBTQ+ people belong in football.

On 26 November 2026, Chelsea Pride celebrates its tenth birthday.

What began in 2016 with 3 Chelsea supporters wanting to create a strong LGBTQ+ community around our Club has grown into something far bigger than we could ever have imagined.

Today, Chelsea Pride is the official LGBTQ+ community group of Chelsea Football Club. For a decade, we have worked alongside the Club, Chelsea Foundation and our partners to champion LGBTQ+ inclusion, challenge hate and make sure LGBTQ+ supporters know that they have a place within the Chelsea family.

And we have never been afraid to use our voice.

We have celebrated Pride with Chelsea FC. We have marched together through the streets of London. We have stood alongside players, staff, supporters and allies. We have campaigned against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. We have supported No To Hate. We have challenged discrimination in the stands and beyond them.

And when something needed changing, we didn’t simply talk about it.

We fought for it.

Because Chelsea Pride has never been about putting a rainbow on something and calling the job done.

It has always been about meaningful change.

That has sometimes meant difficult conversations. Sometimes it has meant challenging our own Club. Sometimes it has meant standing up when it would have been easier to stay quiet. And sometimes it has meant taking the fight far beyond Stamford Bridge.

Change happens when people refuse to accept that something is simply “the way football is”.

Ten years on, Chelsea Pride is still here.

Still proud.

Still visible.

Still challenging.

Still working alongside Chelsea Football Club.

Still standing with our LGBTQ+ community.

Still saying that football belongs to all of us.

Chelsea FC has described our journey as one of relentless work against hate, and our presence alongside the Club continues to grow. In 2026, Chelsea Pride and Chelsea FC once again stood together at Pride in London, continuing a relationship that has seen us march together since 2018.

But this anniversary isn’t just about what we have achieved.

It belongs to every person who has ever walked through Stamford Bridge feeling a little more comfortable because they knew Chelsea Pride was there.

Every supporter who found friends.

Every person who came out and discovered they weren’t alone.

Every ally who stood beside us.

Every volunteer who gave their time.

Every member who wore the badge with pride.

You are Chelsea Pride.

Ten years ago, we created a community.

Today, that community is part of the fabric of Chelsea.

And tomorrow?

We’re going even further.

Ten years of Chelsea Pride.

Ten years of courage.
Ten years of community.
Ten years of visibility.
Ten years of change.
Ten years of being unapologetically proud.

And we are only just getting started.
